I began kitesurfing just over a year ago, I took some lessons and bought myself some second hand kit. I’m still a bit crashy, but enjoy the learning experience and every session brings progress and puts a smile on my face.

I am Islay’s cousin, and have known Stew for a while now. I grew up in the Bahamas so the ocean is the place I call home. When I was given the opportunity to get on a boat over the summer and stay there, I can’t really turn that down. Also, I heard that kiteboarding was involved and at that point I had already started to pack my bags.
I started Kiteboarding almost 2 years ago and it is now my favorite pastime. It started when I went to Tarifa in Spain to learn Spanish but as most kite boarders know you are going to spend most of your time kiteboarding. I.e. I didn’t end up learning that much Spanish. I am also an avid sailor and that is what really brought me into the sport in the first place as they are similar but kiteboarding has that 3rd dimension.
I want to thank Islay and Stew for letting me join in on this adventure, and I am looking forward to discovering the coastline of Britain.
